Three Weeks
In September - A 9/11 First Responder Documentary, is a forthcoming
independent effort (Spring/Summer 2009) that further exposes the deadly health
issues facing Ground Zero First Responders.
The film follows the story of John Citara, a regular everyman. Within hours
of the attacks on September 11th, 2001, John and two friends left their home
state of Pennsylvania to volunteer at Ground Zero.
Now, years later, John struggles to obtain proper health diagnosis and recognition
of his 9/11 related problems from an ever changing litany of doctors and specialists
- when he can get an appointment. Additional interviews and personal accounts
from other 9/11 Responders appear throughout the film, providing a varied,
yet cohesive picture, of the tribulations and possible death sentence these
fine Americans face on a daily basis.
